Thanks to a grant from Kiawah Seabrook Exchange Club, Mt Zion received a Spy on a Bluebird setup that includes a bluebird house, a webcam, and a solar panel to power the camera. Spring 2016 we welcomed our first nesting pair who proceeded to lay 2 unsuccessful clutches, followed by a successful clutch of 5 eggs. Students were able to watch the hatching and development of the nestlings via school computers and Smartboards. We are hopeful that Spring 2017 will usher in more bluebird babies.
